BCCI to schedule Afghanistan and Ireland overseas tours immediately to improve Indian teams overseas test record

Yesterday, ICC took a historical step in awarding Test status to Afghanistan and Ireland. Both the nations were elated to be chosen for the privilege. Both have tweeted about their happiness.

Both have caused upsets in the cricketing world since their induction and their inclusion in the longest format was awaited for a long. Now since they have joined the club, it is also believed that it will take them some time before they establish themselves as a force to reckon with. Here is where BCCI wants to encash and improve its overseas record.

They are planning for long test tours to these two countries in order to improve their test record before they finally establish themselves. They are looking to fit in few matches each year for this. Playing with Afghanistan is even more profitable as they will be playing in Noida only. It is considered difficult to play in Afghanistan owing to routine shooting practice that these people do on road all across the country. Sooner or later someone from this country is bound to get olympic gold in the sport as well. Afghanistan’s sporting future looks promising.
